  18. Finding files on hard drives can be a nightmare, and finding
  19. files on removable disks such as CD-ROMs, Zip disks and
  20. diskettes can be impossible. SuperCat lets you catalog all
  21. your disks, so you'll never lose a file again.
  22.  
  23. Designed to work with Windows 95/98, NT (4.0 or later) and
  24. Windows 2000, SuperCat is an easy to use utility for cataloging,
  25. searching and managing removable disks (CD-ROM, Zip, Jaz, LS-120, etc.),
  26. floppydisks, harddisks and network drives.

  28. SuperCat 3.1 is both easy to use for novice users, and has powerful 
  29. features required by professional users like network administrators, etc.

  31. Working with catalogs (also referred to as indexes and indexfiles),
  32. you can easily locate files on removable disks, even if the disk is
  33. not physically accessible from your computer.

  36. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  37. ===================
  38. - 386 or 486 PC (minimum). Pentium or higher recommended
  39. - Windows 95/98, NT (v4.0 or later) or Windows 2000
  40. - VGA or Super-VGA monitor
  41. - 2 MB (minimum) of free disk space
  42. - A mouse or equivalent pointing device

  45. INSTALL/UNINSTALL
  46. =================
  47. Extract the files to a temporary directory. You can delete this
  48. directory when setup has completed.  Run Setup.exe and follow the
  49. instructions.  Use one of these methods to run Setup.exe:
  50.  
  51. - Select Run from the Taskbar Start menu, type the full path of the
  52.   temporary directory followed by a backslash and the name of the
  53.   installation program (e.g., C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE).  Press the ENTER key.
  54. - Use My Computer or Explorer to find the Setup.exe file.  Double-
  55.   click the icon to run it.

  57. You can uninstall SuperCat by double-clicking on "Add/Remove Programs"
  58. in the control panel, selecting SuperCat in the list, and clicking the
  59. "Add/Remove" button.  After uninstalling you will need to manually
  60. remove the SuperCat directory and any files left in it since the
  61. uninstall does not remove any data files that has been created.
